The Magic in Michigan

It all started with…

a love for cars. When I was born, my dad wanted to name me after his idol—Carroll Shelby who was best known for his collaboration with Ford Motor Company. You see, for my dad, Shelby was the epitome of greatness. Shelby took a car like the Mustang, that was already best-in-class, and took it to the next level. A lot of pressure for a newborn, right? Agreed! So with a nod to Automotive Hall of Famer, Shelby was given as my middle name.

With auto in my blood, I have kept my career engrained in the industry having worked across the industry in corporate affairs, communications, and marketing. I have overseen award-winning campaigns as well as have been an advocate for the industry.

In every role that I have held, I make it my personal mission to take what is already great and amplify it just like Shelby did.

It grew into…

activating and bringing together Michigan’s mobility community—developing a true passion for developing relationships and finding ways to connect and collaborate. I’ve spent years forging relationships within the ecosystem. Having formerly led the Detroit Mobility Coalition, co-founded the Detroit Moves mobility festival, launched Detroit Mobility Week, provided support for mobility startups in the PlanetM Landing Zone, and now leading community engagement for Michigan’s CAV Corridor, I have spent a decade creating natural collisions for networking, education, community growth, and economic development within the Detroit region and across the state of Michigan.
