Celebrating Women's Day with Detroit's Women in Mobility

I have been working in automotive for 10 years and I have always been surrounded by men. It never really bothered me and, honestly, I loved the challenge of finding ways to stand out as a woman in a primarily male dominated industry. It wasn’t until the last few years that I really started connecting personally with other women who had public facing roles in the automotive and mobility industry and I don’t think it could have come at a better time.

Today I had the absolute honor to have lunch with an amazing group of those women—women who have dedicated their careers to taking innovative approaches to mobility and women I now consider great friends.

Over the years this is a group that I’ve turned to for advice, to vent, and to bounce ideas off of (typically over happy hour) and it is a group that I’ve come to trust in this large and ever-changing industry. I’m so happy that our paths are crossed and that we could all find time in our busy schedules to get together for International Women’s Day.

Cheers to Women in Mobility!
