Two years ago, I watched as Detroit Moves was born out of a Quicken Loans conference room and became Detroit’s first mobility festival. A year later, we expanded Detroit Moves into a week of events that was proclaimed by the Detroit Mayor as Mobility Week Detroit. And now, the Detroit Moves team is proud to announce Detroit Moves is partnering with the North American International Auto Show to bring the larger urban transit and mobility community together in June 2020.

Detroit Moves has been a labor of love for everyone involved and is a perfect example of the public and private partnerships that make this region the best play for transportation innovation.

Between us at MICHauto, Quicken Loans, City of Detroit, Detroit Mobility Lab, and the MEDC’s PlanetM, we are excited to take Detroit Moves to the next level (again)! Next month Detroit Moves will be hosting a sneak peak of our new format, in anticipation of the auto show in June 2020.

Stay tuned!

In the meantime, check out this article I wrote on Driven about the future of Detroit Moves.
