Detroit Moves Previews June 2020 Conference
After announcing last month that Detroit Moves would be moving from a fall mobility festival to a thought leadership event during the North American International Auto Show in June of 2020, Detroit Moves hosted a small gathering of industry and mobility stakeholders in the region to preview what the future of the event will look like.
Featuring a panel titled “Designing Mobility, Bringing Together Communities” moderated by Greg Lindsay, Director of Strategy for CoMotion, the speakers talked about areas where public and private partnerships have come together to make mobility publicly available in the region. They also shared insight in what needs to be done to continue progress. The panel consisted of:
Kevin Mill, Vice President, Connected Cloud Services, Bosch
Jessica Robinson, Executive Director, Michigan Mobility Institute
Councilman Scott Benson, Council Member 3rd District, City of Detroit
Maria LaLonde, Senior Program Officer, New Economy Initiative
Looking forward to June 2020, Detroit Moves is aimed at including cities, government, and other stakeholders around critical conversations on mobility as a service, shared and micro mobility, last mile transportation, autonomous tech, and other alternative modes of mobility. It will serve as a jumping off point for future conversations on the technologies and innovations that will change how we get around with those developing and deploying them.
I’d like to give a big thanks to our partners at Quicken Loans, City of Detroit, Detroit Mobility Lab, and the MEDC’s PlanetM for making Detroit Moves a reality for the third consecutive year. Looking forward to what 2020 brings!
